You’ve always dreamed of becoming a writer.
You want to learn how to make a full-time living as an online writer or a blogger.
But, as you probably know, this is no easy feat. When I started blogging, the process to making a living writing went something like this:
-
Spend a bunch of time building a large email list by doing things like SEO, Guest Posting, and other activities that weren’t actually, you know, writing
-
?? - Even though you just want to write, to make a living back in the day, you’d need to create a product or become a coach
-
After you made enough money from coaching and courses, you could become a full-time writer
I stumbled around with this approach for years. I’d spend 20 hours writing a guest post only to get a handful of subscribers from it. I once created an online course that sold zero copies. For the first three years of my writing career, I made little to no money.
Then, I heard about this website called Medium.com and subsequently the Medium Partner Program. Members of Medium pay $5/month to get access to exclusive content. You can become a writer on the platform and earn money from Medium members reading your work.
Honestly, at first, I thought it was another pipe dream. Before then, I’d never seen a solution that truly helped writers make an income directly from blogging. Eventually, I gave it a try.
I published a couple dozen articles through the partner program for 30 days.
The first month went well enough for an experiment:
I decided to keep going and each month my income started to grow more and more:
After 18 months, I had my first $10,000 month on the program.
